Hearth Families Incorporated was organized in August, 2000 when there came a bill to the legislature that threatened certain rights of home school families. Since that time Hearth Families Inc. has been involved with on-going government advisory committee meetings to assist in guarding the rights of parents to educate their children as they see fit.

From that time, there have been many issues in which Hearth Families Inc. has sought to make a difference. We are not exclusively a home school organization. We have actively fought the increased liquor in Winkler on a local level, we have sought to maintain "traditional family" values on the provincial and federal levels, and have made presentations to government regarding the "re-defining" of marriage.

Hearth Families Inc. is governed by elected officials and is a non-profit organization, funded by modest membership fees, donations, fundraisers, etc.
